San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge is self-anchored suspension span bridge. The SAS will be the signature span of the new Bay Bridge. Its single steel tower will reach 525' above mean sea level. There are 51,000 tons of steel in this twin orthotropic box girder structure with steel towers.
